3. What is personal data?
Personal data is information which may be used to gain knowledge of your personal or factual circumstances (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth or email address). Information which cannot (or only with unreasonable effort) be related to you as a person, e.g. due to pseudonymization or anonymization, does not constitute personal data.


4. What personal data is processed by us?

4.1. Application procedure  
You are able to apply via our website. If you choose to do so, data related to your application will be processed. This may be data relating to you as a person (e.g. name, address and contact details), details on your professional qualification and education or your professional development, or other information you transmit to us in connection with your application.
You can upload your application documents directly in the online application tool. While you are under no obligation to provide this data, we may not be able to consider your application without these details.
 
We warrant that the personal data you provide as part of the application procedure will only be processed for the purpose of carrying out the application process. If your application is declined, your personal data will be deleted 6 months after notification thereof.
 
Within a company, only the individuals and offices (e.g. the department, works council, HR staff) who/which require it to fulfill their (legal) obligations will receive your personal data.
 
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data from your application documents is Art. 6(1) lit. b General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 26 German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The legal basis for any transmission of your personal data from your application documents is your declaration of consent, Art. 6(1) lit. a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4.2. Job alert
We offer you the option to set up a job alert on our website. If you would like to receive this alert, we require your email address. You are free to decide whether you provide us with your email address. However, we are unable to send you our job alert without these details. When you register for job alerts, your email address is only used to inform you about vacancies. You will receive job alerts until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe via a link contained in the job alert. We will erase your personal data after you unsubscribe.
 
The legal basis for the data processing activity following user registration for job alerts is Art. 6(1) lit. a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), provided the user has declared its consent.
 

5. Security, SSL technology
We have taken technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data; in particular, against accidental or willful manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. These security measures are continuously adjusted in line with technological developments. As a matter of principle, personal data is always transmitted in encrypted form (SSL procedure, Secure Socket Layer) between your computer or mobile device and our server.

 
6. Use of service providers for processing of personal data / Data processing in countries outside of the European Economic Area
Our provision of our applicant platform involves cooperation with a software service provider. This provider exclusively processes the data as instructed by us while limiting itself to the provision and maintenance of the portal environment, and is bound to compliance with the applicable data protection provisions. The external service provider has been carefully selected, and receives your data for the purposes of storage for only the period necessary in connection with the processing of your application (and to the extent that you have consented or will consent to the processing and use of the data).
 

7. Rights of the data subjects

7.1. Right to information
You have the right to demand information about the data we have stored in relation to you, its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this data is disclosed and the purpose of the storage at any time.

7.2. Right of revocation
If you have declared your consent to the use of data, you may revoke this consent at any time without stating reasons with future effect.

7.3. Right to correction
If the data we have stored about you is incorrect, you may request that we correct it at any time.

7.4. Right to erasure and blocking
You have the right to erasure and blocking of your personal data stored by us. We typically erase personal data within 2 business days after a data subject asserts this right. If such erasure would conflict with retention requirements stipulated in law, contract, tax or commercial provisions, or cannot be carried out for other legitimate reasons, your data may only be blocked instead of erased. Once your data is erased, it is no longer possible to provide information.

7.5. Contact for the assertion of rights of the data subject
When you contact us by emailing career-germany@tadano.com we will store the data you provide (your email address and, if applicable, your name and telephone number) to answer your questions and comply with your request. We will erase the data collected in this context once storage thereof is no longer required, or restrict processing if legal retention obligations exists.


8. Right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to file a complaint against the processing of your personal data with the competent supervisory authority if you consider your rights pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) violated.
